Financial Planning Advice

Footprint Financial Planning Ltd

Lifestyle and financial security mean different things to different people. Our first job is to understand what lifestyle and financial security our clients want, both now and in the future, how did they get to where they are now, what do they want to do in the next 5, 10 or 20 years and beyond. With a firm understanding of our client’s requirements we then establish what resources they might have available to them now and what might need to become available in order to meet their lifestyle objectives.

Should financial products be required to satisfy the needs of our client’s financial plan, our Para Planners research the market to find the most appropriate products to meet their needs and objectives within the context of the level of risk they are willing to take.

This process is quite the opposite of some financial institutions that just want to sell products. When we recommend financial products, we will be doing so, knowing and understanding what our clients are trying to achieve – therefore products will be recommended for the right reasons, not because it seemed like a good idea at the time.

I began to realise that we didn’t like the way large corporations do things and we knew we could do better for the people we were advising. We realised we wanted to be independent, to work for the individual, not the corporation and have a service proposition that puts our clients at the centre of our service proposition and not the end. We set up Footprint Financial Planning to help people truly understand their wealth and use it to maximise their enjoyment and lifestyle.

To make that happen, we play three different roles: Life Planners, Financial Planners and Independent Financial Advisers.
